Preschool

We have been very fortunate and have not needed childcare, but the stress of caring for 3 little ones 24/7 is taking its toll on us. We decided to start Landon in preschool 2 days a week (not sure if we are doing it more for him or us! hahaha)  Anyhoo, the first week went great! Landon loved it. He went willingly and had a blast. I love getting to see his art projects and love the fact that he gets to experience things at school that, quite frankly, I don't have the energy to do with him at home. Here are some pics from Landon's first week of preschool:

Landon's first Tiger's game

Brent & I got to take Landon to his first Tiger's game and it was a BLAST! Landon loved it and we had so much fun watching him take it all in! It was a day of lots of "firsts" for Landon. It was his first Tiger's game, his first carousel ride, and the first time he went pee-pee AND poop on a public potty! Brent handled Landon's 3 trips to the bathroom like a champ! ;-D

Basement Storage

Yes...I'm posting another boring blog about home improvements!! :-//  But I'm so excited, I just can't help it! We had some shelves installed in the storage room in the basement and I was up till the wee hours of the night organizing and consolidating the mess that previously consumed the room. To my surprise, everything fit well with lots of room to spare! I really enjoy looking at the before and after picture so that I can admire my productivity :)

Basement

As I mentioned in my earlier post about my tile back splash, the things that excite me these days have a lot to do with practical home improvements. I am happy to say that thanks to my awesome brother-in-law we now have a finished basement complete with a bar, full bathroom, linen closet and storage room! Having this extra space is HUGE for us with the kids and all of their toys! We still have a ways to go but I was excited and wanted to share our progress...

As you can see, we have a lot of work to go (hanging pictures/decor, filling nail holes, blinds for the window, boxing in the pole, etc) but for now we are happy to have the usable space! Our next projects are getting shelves built in the storage room, drawers behind the bar, a door for the bar, storage shelves in the garage and painting the garage...oh, and for the yard we want to do a fire pit, horseshoe pits and a sandbox for the kids. :-) Phew....wish us luck!

Why I love my neighborhood...

No...this is not a tailgate, a birthday party or any other special occasion.
This is any given day in our neighborhood!

Visit from Sary

One of my bestest friends lives 4 hours away. She brought her kiddos and came down for a weekend. It was so great to see her and her beautiful kids, Addy & Bennett.
